2014 was another year of loving life on the prairies for us!

Highlights were a little winter trip to the Resort at Cypress Hills, the winter Olympics, weekend camping trips to a.o. Candle Lake, Duck Mountain and the Hartwell cabin (friends at Buffalo Pound), the big camping trip to the Rockies with our Dutch friend Miranda, seeing Heart live front row (and Ann Wilson telling Nico, who had been headbanging, that he had some fantastic hair, we had dozens of people coming up to him or cheering at us after the show for that remark!), Marlies finally getting her learner’s driver’s licence and the new addition to our family, kitty #7, Arya! Luckily (and knock on wood), no real lows for us directly, but it was heartbreaking to see a beloved family in pain after losing one of their own.

Winter came in really cold for a little bit in November, but has been pretty mild so far in December. Enough snow and frost for winter wonderland without it being too much to enjoy 🙂 Despite working a lot on or around this Xmas, we are also celebrating it with friends and then looking forward to hosting our annual NYE party!
