hot summer, vacation schedule
In the past months we had 2 heatwaves (hadn’t happened in a long time) and July broke all sorts of decades and/or centuries old records. Lots of 30+ days, some even up to 37C! That makes me physically sick, ugh. I’ve had a lot of headaches and almost-migraines, thanks to medication no real attacks. The past two weeks have finally been cooler! But I still couldn’t shake the fatigue and the daily headaches. I was so tired I took a few days off around last weekend, and that did the trick! I’m all rested and headache-free now 
Even though in the weekend we worked hard.. we had my longtime friend Angelique and her boyfriend Michiel over, they are from Alkmaar. We hadn’t seen each other in several years, but Liek is like a sister to me, so regardless whether we had a lot of contact lately or hardly for a few years, it’s always as if we see each other all the time She recently phoned me to ask if I could explain to them about silkscreen printing (for shirts) and I just happened to have plans to print a few shirts for the last time (but some of my materials weren’t good anymore) and sell the gear! She bought my missing materials so we could prepare a few screens and print some stuff, which was a good printing course for them, and they went home with car full of printing supplies and shirts. Perfect match! 
It’s only 2 more months before our vacation… finally it’s getting closer (after having booked the flights and car back in January, LOL!). With bits and pieces we are filling in the 3 weeks we have. We first planned to visit Derek and stay there for the first night, but he’s not home then and we chose to book a b&b already in the foothills outside of Calgary for a warm and pampering vacation welcome. This is the plan so far:
7/10 flight Amsterdam-Calgary, we arrive around 6pm, b&b: http://www.anewhorizon.ca/

16/10-17/10 Edmonton, visiting the West-Edmonton Mall and Kefka and his family
17/10-18/10 Saskatoon, visiting Brent + family and Astrid + family
18/10-25/10 Regina, staying at Tim + family, meeting w/friends, orientation for the possible emigration
25/10-26/10 Gravelbourg, not sure yet, but a Dutch family I want to visit, just took over the local motel.
26/10-27/10 back to Calgary, one night at Derek’s, some sightseeing, flight at 10pm
27/10 flight Calgary-Amsterdam, we arrive on the 28th
