03/16 - 03/19 weekend in the Peel region
just a little get-away weekend in Bospark de Bikkels in Vlierden, which is in the beautiful Peel region, known for his forests, peat moors and marsches
05/25 work outing: pool, mystery dinner
working outing Marlies: shooting some pool and then a mystery dinner at the Grand Hotel: had to solve a murder case and got soup, a cold buffet, a warm buffet and desserts in between :) Walking back to the city hall, I took pics of the Pancratiusplein
06/26 sheep on the Brunsummerheide
For a late lunch we went to the Brunsummerheide to have pancakes at the restaurant there. The flock of sheep on the nature reserve happened to be right there when we were done, so we stayed to watch them for a while.
06/26 view over Heerlen from the Glas Palace
In the morning Marlies was at the top floor of the Glas Palace (Glaspaleis) in Heerlen for a work project and used the opportunity to take some pics from the view. Unfortunately it was cloudy.

after the great news that Nico passed his Canadian RN exam, this is how I found my workplace the next morning! Petra was the culprit, she covered everything with prints of the CA flag, CA map and a pic of the legislature in Regina. Awesome!!

for Marlies' birthday we visited the beautiful local zoo, the GaiaPark in Kerkrade. The weather was great and afterwards we ended up at one of our favorite restaurants, Mujo steakhouse, for dinner.

25th wedding anniversary party from our neighbours (2 doors down) Christel & Leendert in the local pub. Fun times with a whole group of (most of our) neighbours!
